2016 North American Oyster Showcase – How Did Your Oyster Score?

For the second year, nearly two dozen East Coast, West Coast and Gulf Coast farmers and growers shared their oysters for ranking and sampling in the North American Oyster Showcase.

On Saturday, November 5, panelists convened at the annual Oyster Cook-Off and Craft Beer Weekend in Gulf Shores to rate the oysters on a rubric-based, 100 point system and create a guide to tasting oysters.  As in 2015 panel was made up of chefs, journalists and oyster experts from across the country. Best of all, Hangout Oyster Cook-Off attendees got to see the 2016 results and taste some of the best oysters from across the continent.
