In November, the annual Oyster Cook-Off and Craft Beer Weekend at The Hangout in Gulf Shores, AL is the place for oyster lovers to be! While enjoying scores of cooked oysters, try out the North American Oyster Showcase raw bar. More than a dozen East Coast, West Coast and Gulf Coast farmers and growers share their oysters for ranking and sampling.
Panelists from across the nation convene at Gulf Shores to rate the oysters on a rubric-based, 100 point system and create a guide to tasting oysters. On Saturday, November 5 Cook-Off attendees get to see the 2016 results and taste some of the best oysters from across the continent.
