There are many variations on this rich concoction of oysters, artichokes, mushrooms and butter, but few are easier to make than this version from the old Houston Junior League Cookbook. One update I would make to the 1968 edition is using pre-shucked oysters from the seafood market or fresh seafood section of the grocer instead of canned oysters.
